There\u2019s a story behind every name.<\/strong><\/p>

The name of our hotel was born from a simple gesture:\u00a0a tribute from my father Armando to his very first international guests.<\/strong><\/p>

They were New Zealanders\u2026 or maybe Australians.
They didn\u2019t speak Italian: they understood each other without many words, with lots of smiles. And they stayed in his heart.<\/p>

So, when Armando and my mother Luisa decided to buy the hotel inside this late 19th-century building, the name came naturally.<\/p>

Oceania<\/em>.<\/p>

It was\u00a01975<\/strong>.<\/p>

A lot has changed since then.<\/p>

We\u2019ve grown, renovated, improved\u2026 but the\u00a0soul of this place has remained untouched<\/strong>: we chose to preserve it!<\/p>

Because Oceania isn\u2019t just a hotel, it\u2019s a\u00a0way to experience the real Rome, with authenticity and warmth.<\/strong><\/p>

In half a century of history, we\u2019ve collected so many stories \u2014 touching, funny, and always memorable.<\/p>

Like that time when, over the phone,\u00a0a guest asked for a room with an ocean view<\/strong>\u2026 and we replied with a smile and a touch of irony:<\/p>

\u201cEvery year we make some improvements\u2026<\/em>
but we still haven\u2019t managed to bring THE SEA to the center of Rome.<\/em>\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>

This is also how the spirit of Oceania is recognized: true hospitality and gentle humor.<\/strong><\/p>

Today we continue to tell this story, day by day, together with our staff \"\u2764\"
